Despite his name he’s not dodgy and he’s not from Liverpool!
John joined GB in 2010, in order to oversee all DC Operations whilst liaising with Sales teams (UK & Export). He monitors all day to day operations in our recently expanded Distribution Centre and works with his team to ensure all orders are completed on time, in full & as efficiently as possible. He also takes care of his DC staff quite literally by being the Health & Safety contact for them, ever ready with the Elastoplast!
A proper hearty Northern lad, his favourite hobbies include watching Man City, watching Darts, watching Wigan Warriors, cooking for his partner and friends, camping, walking & drinking in North Yorkshire. His favourite dish of all time is curried goat, but he wouldn’t want one for a pet.

Joining GB in 1996 and now with over 14 years experience, Martin runs the UK Operations in our Distribution Centre as well as working on the future of the distribution centre and assisting in the development of new methods. He is John Scally’s wing man, and also oversees all UK special projects from premium jobs to multi-rack scale outs.
Martin (aka Sick Note) is still possibly the unluckiest person on the planet, and the term “Sod’s Law” (if anything can go wrong it will) was designed for him, although his luck does seem to be holding up much better recently.
Martin is vital to our operations; he is very hands-on even though he has got uncommonly small hands. Martin is the vital cog between the DC and the warehouse; and acts as the eyes and ears of the busiest side of our business.
Father of 2 fast growing daughters – and Lucky (d’you see what he’s done there) the King Charles Cavalier, he’s spent the summer either holidaying or working on his new house and garden (and topping up his tan), and enjoys cooking for his wife of 8 years. He’s a whizz in the kitchen, as well as on the football pitch, and whilst he spends as much time recovering from injury as he does playing, he’s passionate about his sport.

Steve has gained a broad knowledge of GB Logistics since joining us in 2002 and now manages the export department and ever growing OLS and Production side of the business.
Another Wednesday supporter, he loves putting in the hours and is a very hard working member of our team and has become a key member of the warehouse; without him we would struggle to keep up with the demand.
Steve’s young family are growing up quickly, and when he’s not doing the football/swimming/music lesson runs, he’s walking his beloved Erica the Lhasa Apso!! He also enjoys a glass of wine, rather than the lager of his youth, and whilst handy with knives, being an ex-butcher, he tries not to carve up his kitchen by knife throwing of an evening!!!
